Debojyoti Roy Appointed as President – Strategy & Execution at Jindal Steel Ltd.

Debojyoti Roy has been appointed as President – Strategy & Execution at Jindal Steel Ltd., where he will lead enterprise-wide strategic execution and support the company’s long-term growth agenda across India and global markets. Based in New Delhi, his role will focus on strengthening alignment between corporate strategy, operations, and performance delivery as the organisation continues to enhance execution capabilities across the steel value chain.

Prior to joining Jindal Steel Ltd., Debojyoti served as Chief Corporate Strategy and Planning at Tata Steel Group and held senior leadership roles across Tata Steel UK, Tata Steel BSL (formerly Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd.), and Tata Steel Limited. His professional experience spans corporate strategy, restructuring, governance, digital transformation, and operational excellence, backed by deep expertise in integrated steel operations.

An alumnus of Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar), Debojyoti holds a PGDM in Operations and HR. His strategic depth and execution-focused leadership are expected to play a key role in strengthening Jindal Steel Ltd.’s performance-driven growth journey and long-term enterprise value creation.
