Sunil Kaw Appointed as Chief Credit Officer at Vastu Housing Finance

Sunil Kaw has joined Vastu Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. as Chief Credit Officer, marking an important leadership milestone in his career spanning more than three decades across retail banking, credit risk management, business leadership, and digital transformation.

In his new role, Sunil will provide strategic leadership across the company’s credit and risk functions, focusing on strengthening credit governance, underwriting frameworks, risk management, and portfolio quality. His experience will support Vastu Housing Finance’s continued expansion in India’s affordable housing finance sector through technology-driven lending and robust risk practices.

Prior to joining Vastu Housing Finance, Sunil served as Credit Head – Retail and MIB at YES BANK, Head of Credit Underwriting at SMFG India Credit, and Head of Credit – Consumer Risk at Barclays Bank. He has also held leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he built extensive expertise across credit operations, credit policy, underwriting, portfolio management, and retail lending.

With his broad experience across banking and financial services, Sunil is well positioned to strengthen Vastu Housing Finance’s credit and risk capabilities while supporting sustainable business growth. His appointment reflects the organization’s continued focus on strong governance, disciplined lending, and building a resilient foundation for its next phase of expansion.
